I study how extreme weather events (e.g. heatwaves, droughts), climatic anomalies (El Niño &La Niña) and long term climate warming impact biodiversity worldwide. To this end, I integrate animal telemetry and participatory science records to assess species vulnerability to global change and develop novel approaches to anticipate regions where climate change may intensify human wildlife conflicts. Finally, I explore the potential of animals as smart earth system observers.
